For 90 years, Social Security has paid benefits in full and on time. Until now. The Trump administration is abusing its power to gut one of the most successful government programs in U.S. history — and it’s hitting Black and Brown communities the hardest. This is not just about Social Security; it’s about whether our government serves the people or the billionaire class. Black and Brown seniors are more likely to rely on Social Security as their main source of income. We cannot allow them to be pawns in an authoritarian playbook. Cuts to SSI and SSDI mean our communities are left stranded. Elders, people with disabilities, and children are the most vulnerable, all of us are one accident, phone call, or injury away from needing the support that has saved Americans for 90 years. We, the People, pay into Social Security with every paycheck, and it works. We cannot give a social license for elected officials to dismantle public institutions, replace them with corporate control, and make it harder for everyday people to survive. If it ain't broke, don't "fix it." Congress must act now to restore funding, rehire staff, and protect the Social Security system that WE built – it belongs to us. For future generations,
