U.S : ACTION NEEDED; Demand a public investigation of sexual abuse at FOX NEWS.

Dear friend,

Earlier this week, a former Fox News employee and a news contributor filed a lawsuit accusing Fox News anchor Ed Henry of rape. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Manhattan by contributing Fox News analyst Cathy Areu and former production assistant Jennifer Eckhart, also claims that Fox News primetime anchors Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, as well as journalist Howard Kurtz and network political analyst Gianno Caldwell, sexually harassed and abused Areu and Eckhart.1,2

This is not the first time that Fox News fostered a toxic culture of sexual violence and misogyny, which resulted in legal claims. Last March, UltraViolet demanded that Fox News fire Carlson after news reports cited his extreme sexist views that women are "primitive" and "need to be quiet and...do what you're told," and his outrageous defense of child marriage. In 2017, after Fox News host Bill O'Reilly settled multiple sexual harassment and assault claims for $32 million, the network renewed his contract--despite acknowledging the women's claims against him.4

And in spite of losses in revenue for shows such as "The O'Reilly Factor," "Tucker Carlson Tonight," and "The Sean Hannity Show," Fox News continues to subsidize these predators.5,6

Enough is enough.

Together, we can snuff out misogyny on television and in U.S. workplaces. Thank you for taking action with us !
