The crypto industry scored its biggest win in U.S. history, and now they're pushing to go even further. The GENIUS Act, a bill tailor-made for crypto billionaires, was signed into law by Donald Trump. It’s a deregulatory nightmare that will benefit scammers and tech oligarchs.
Their goal is the so-called CLARITY Act. This legislation, also drafted by the crypto industry, would weaken oversight, grant regulatory power to their preferred agency, and open the floodgates to fraud on a national scale. It would strip consumer protections, set the stage for the next financial crash, and let Trump and his family profit from their shady crypto schemes with zero consequences.
Mark Hays, our crypto expert, put it best in an interview with NPR:
“We’re waging an uncontrolled experiment on our financial system using a technology that hasn’t delivered yet as promised.”
The CLARITY Act passed the House. Now it’s headed to the Senate, where we think we can stop it. We need every resource to mobilize against this bill, expose the fraud it legalizes, and make sure the public knows how it would greenlight Trump’s personal crypto empire.

The CLARITY Act purposely hands over control over much of the crypto market to an obscure regulator with limited tools, funding or power. This is no coincidence. The industry wants the weakest oversight possible.
If this bill passes, we will end up with more scams and more working Americans left holding the bag. Our financial system should not be the plaything of Silicon Valley and Wall Street. That means taking on the crypto billionaires and finance executives who are coming at us again with more money and lobbyists.
Trump’s own family is profiting from crypto scams while shaping policy in Washington. His goal is to enrich himself and his cronies, plain and simple. We can’t let that happen.
