![]() Citibank is one of the worst funders of fossil fuels in the world. In fact, Citibank has contributed more money to fossil fuel expansion since 2016 than any other bank in the entire world. Join us and urge Costco to clean up its co-branded credit card with dirty Citibank. Unlike Citibank, Costco is committed to climate action and is committed to retaining its diversity and inclusion initiatives. As the third largest retailer in the world, Costco is also a critical client to Citibank. Banks care about retaining their clients, especially ones as large as Costco. Our campaign is making progress. Thousands of Costco members and concerned shoppers have filled out feedback forms, petitioned at Costco warehouses, and sent emails and postcards to Costco leadership. After no action from Costco, dozens of Costco members and shareholders took the brave step of showing up to protest at Costco’s headquarters. Tell Costco to offer a credit card that is not destroying the planet. How can we get Costco to actually take action? To make this a priority for Costco, we need members, employees, shareholders, and concerned shoppers to tell Costco they are concerned about Citibank’s fossil fuel financing. While Costco is committed to doing the right thing, Costco will only act if we insist this is a priority. And it is a priority: the fossil fuel pollution enabled by Citi is having deadly and devastating impacts, especially in low income communities and Black and Indigenous communities. This undermines Costco’s own commitments to address the climate crisis and advance racial equity. We hope you can join us in the fight for a safe and healthy future for all. In solidarity,
