But that right is threatened by fossil fuel extraction and environmental racism.    Right now, Valero Energy Corp. and Plains All American Pipeline are pushing to construct the Byhalia Connection Pipeline which will cut directly through the predominantly Black South Memphis. The proposed pipeline also threatens the Memphis Sand Aquifer, which provides clean and safe drinking water to residents around Memphis, TN.    We know pipelines almost always spill.
