Friend– the latest news from Gaza is horrifying:children are dying because of hunger and disease at the fastest pace on record, and the resumption of hostilities is nothing short of a death sentence for them.
When we met Faiza * in December, food was already scarce. A grandmother, she was living in a tent with 18 family members, including six-year-old Mariam.* Sometimes we findbread… and other days we don’t, she told us.
Now, things are even worse: 96% of people in Gaza are facing serious food shortages. With hunger reaching catastrophic levels, can you support our work?
Donate nowto Save the Children and you’ll help us reach more children growing up in difficult and dangerous situations around the world – from Gaza to Sudan:
Faiza * told us her family couldn’t get enough safe drinking water, her grandchildren were always sick and medicine was hard to come by.We are short of everything. We have nothing. We are barely living.
Now, children are being bombed in their tents and make-shift shelters as the inescapable living nightmare continues in Gaza. They’ve been cut off from essential and much needed food and aid. With your support, we’re demanding a definitive ceasefire, and preparing to scale up our response as soon as more aid can get into Gaza again.
Dear friend, you can help by making a donation today. We work with international partners and local communities to reach children in the toughest situations, wherever we’re needed most. Are you in?
