U.S : BIG PHARMA is raking in profits while Americans continue to struggle financially.

Imagine if your health, or your family's health, depended on access to prescription medications. Without it, you or a loved one could be at grave risk.

If you couldn't afford that medication, what would you do ?

That's the unbearable decision millions of Americans grapple with every day while Congress refuses to muster the willpower to stand up to Big Pharma.

With the threat of inflation stretching bank accounts to the point of bursting, it becomes imperative that we make essential goods more affordable for the American people.

High drug costs only serve to further increase inequality in this country, creating a system where only the rich can afford innovative treatments. Further, the high costs of prescription drugs are a financial burden not only on those who need medication, but they also raise premiums and taxes for the rest of us by increasing costs for insurance companies.

This isn't an issue of what we can afford. This year, Congress allocated more money to defense spending than it had since World War II. It's also not an issue of research and development. Many of the drugs Big Pharma charges exorbitant amounts for received public funding with taxpayer dollars. This is an issue of greed. Big Pharma wants to continue to gauge the American public to enrich themselves.

Congress must put an end to the pharmaceutical industry's blatant cash grab.
