Hi friend,
When most people think about campaigns, they picture the big moments — rallies, bold banners, viral videos. But those moments are only the surface. What makes them possible is the quieter, sustained work underneath: The strategic planning that anticipates corporate spin. The digital platforms that carry hundreds of thousands of voices. The staff time, travel, and infrastructure required to keep pressure consistent — not just for a day, but for months and years. Last week’s Oreo Day of Action shows what that looks like in practice. Mondelēz — the corporation behind Oreo — continues sourcing conflict palm oil from suppliers linked to deforestation and human rights abuses. While their branding talks about sustainability, frontline communities are facing land grabs, forest destruction, and violence. So our Network pushed back. |

More than 150,000 petition signatures were collected. Hundreds showed up in cities across the U.S. And 5,753 people pledged to skip Oreo products during our Halloween Boycott — redirecting at least $31,008.67 away from Mondelēz’s bottom line. That’s everyday people turning their values into impact. Because this was never just about cookies: It’s about uplifting forest defenders who have been threatened — and even killed — for protecting their land. It’s about protecting forests that help stabilize our climate. It's about refusing to accept that everyday products should come with hidden human costs. But none of this sustains itself. Every campaign effort requires skilled staff, investigative research, digital systems, travel, materials, and long-term strategy. Advocacy without resources burns out. Advocacy with resources builds power. |
That’s why RANday matters, friend. In just SEVEN days — on March 19th — we celebrate RANday, our birthday and our annual fundraising moment. It’s an opportunity to invest in the infrastructure behind the wins, and ensure this work continues long after a single campaign push ends. |
For more than 40 years, Rainforest Action Network has taken on powerful corporations — and won — thanks to the steady support of people who believe in this work. A gift on RANday supports the work that keeps forests standing, uplifts frontline and Indigenous leadership, challenges land grabs and corporate violence, pushes companies like Mondelēz to clean up their supply chains, and demands people and planet over profit. This year, a generous group of donors is triple matching every dollar. Our goal is to raise $20,000 from our network — unlocking $60,000 to power our campaigns at this urgent moment. And if you give before the end of RANday on March 19th, your impact will go THREE times as far! |

More than just a donation, your gift is a commitment to a future where forests remain standing, human rights are non-negotiable, and corporations are held accountable for the harm hidden in everyday products. The big moments matter. But what matters more is making sure we can keep going. Will you help power what comes next, friend? In solidarity, |

At RAN, we take the “Network” in our name seriously. It is only through your support that we are able to fund major campaigns for the forests, their inhabitants and the natural systems that sustain life. Please consider joining RAN as a Member by making a gift today. |
