US (STOP THE MONEY PIPELINE) : Tell BANKS & INSURERS: STOP BACKING LNG’S CLIMATE CHAOS!

Earlier today, our friends and partners took to the streets in Houston — marching to demand an end to fossil fuel expansion and an end to environmental racism.

They showed up to confront CERAWeek, one of the most powerful energy conferences in the world, where executives, financiers, and policymakers gather behind closed doors to shape our energy future without our consent.

Take action during CERAWeek: Tell major banks and insurers to stop financing Venture Global and all fossil fuel expansion.

Right now, banks and insurance companies are backing one of the biggest drivers of LNG expansion in the world: Venture Global LNG.

Owned by billionaires that have been major donors to Trump, Venture Global has become a dominant force in the global gas market, on track to rival some of the largest LNG exporters in the world. Its massive buildout along the Gulf Coast – including Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines LNG, and the CP2 project — is locking in decades of fossil fuel dependence.

And insurance companies Allianz, Tokio Marine, AXA, Swiss Re, and the big banks including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and ING are helping fuel this dangerous buildout of liquefied natural gas infrastructure by bankrolling Venture Global.

Send a message to the executives of major insurance companies and big banks now: End your support of Venture Global, a company driving environmental racism in the Gulf South.

In Cameron Parish, Louisiana, Venture Global’s CP2 project has already damaged wetlands, disrupted fisheries, and harmed local livelihoods. Like other LNG terminals, CP2 is a project that disproportionately impacts low-income communities and communities of color, while exposing investors to growing financial and legal risks.

The science is clear: we cannot expand fossil fuel infrastructure and avoid truly catastrophic global warming. That’s why we’re demanding these institutions end all financing, underwriting, and advisory services for Venture Global.

CERAWeek may be where they try to decide our future – but we are building something different. Let’s contact the financiers of Venture Global before their CEO takes the stage to speak at CERAWeek tomorrow. Use our tool and take action now.

From the Gulf South to all across the U.S., a coalition of people are organizing and taking collective action rooted in solidarity across movements.

Our futures are not for sale.

In Solidarity,

- the Stop the Money Pipeline team.
