US (STOP THE MONEY PIPELINE) : No money for ICE until our demands are met!

 

While the Trump administration claims they are easing up on immigration enforcement, we know this is not true. Yesterday, Senators confirmed Senator Markwayne Mullin’s nomination for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary. And now the administration is sending ICE agents to our nation’s airports.   Senator Mullin will just be the new face at DHS, advancing Trump and Steven Miller’s mass deportation agenda that will keep ripping families apart and devastating our communities. There is no indication that Senator Mullin would proceed any differently. Over a month into a DHS funding shutdown, Senators will once again vote on a DHS funding bill. Take action and tell your Members of Congress to keep holding the line and vote NO on any DHS funding bill unless it includes provisions to stop the brutal violence and discriminatory abuse immigration agents are inflicting on our communities. You’ve raised your voice with us before and your continued leadership can make a real difference. In the lead up to the No Kings mass mobilizations happening across the country this weekend, elected leaders need to hear our demands of NO funding for ICE and CBP unless real reforms are implemented. This year, federal immigration officials are arresting an average of 1,100 people per day compared to roughly 600 arrests per day this time last year. More children are being ripped away from their parents, our immigrant neighbors are being subjected to inhumane treatment in detention centers, and thousands are being deported. Tell your Senators to hold firm on not one more dollar for ICE and CBP until our demands are met. Activists like you are demanding real accountability.
