The fight against crypto corruption is entering a critical moment.
Crypto billionaires and their lobbyists are escalating pressure on Congress,
trying to force through legislation that would weaken oversight, deregulate
risky products, and open the door for more fraud and instability in financial
markets.
At the same time, Donald Trump and his allies are driving the industry’s
agenda forward, pushing lawmakers to move forward with lopsided bills
that would benefit crypto insiders while exposing consumers and investors
to greater risk.
This coordinated pressure campaign is designed to make Congress buckle. We
are fighting on every front to make sure that doesn’t happen. We are working
with lawmakers who refuse to be intimidated by crypto money, exposing the
risks of these bills to the public, and mobilizing grassroots pressure to make
sure Congress hears from people who want a safe and accountable financial
system.
Donate now to help stop crypto corruption and defeat these dangerous
bills again.
Last year, the crypto industry tried three different times to push versions
of these bills through Congress. Each time, they ran into a wall of opposition
from a broad coalition of consumer advocates, labor organizations, civil rights
groups, and grassroots supporters across the country.
Together, we helped stall or stop those bills and prevented the industry
from getting its deregulatory wish list written into law. Lawmakers heard
directly from consumer advocates, labor unions, civil rights organizations,
and thousands of grassroots supporters demanding real safeguards instead of
industry giveaways.
That pressure made it much harder for crypto lobbyists to quietly push their
agenda through Congress. Instead of handing the crypto industry the
sweeping deregulation it wanted, Congress had to confront the growing public
concern about scams, market manipulation, and the risks these products pose
to investors and the broader economy.
Now the crypto billionaires, their corporate lobbying machine, and their
political allies in Washington are back, armed with more money, more
lobbyists, and more political pressure. Fighting that kind of influence
does not disappear on its own. It takes sustained advocacy, public
pressure, and relentless organizing to counter it.
Please donate today to help power the fight to stop crypto corruption
and protect consumers from the next financial disaster.
Let’s stop crypto corruption and defend our financial system,
