U.S : Donate now...ensure BLACK FOLKS in JACKSON, Mississippi have WATER.

Support the Black Joy Water Drive to help Black and low-income residents in Jackson, MS this Friday with a contribution of $10

Dear friend,

Right now, residents in Jackson, Mississippi are experiencing a life-altering water crisis and it’s hurting Black and low-income folks the most. Compounding this, is the weight of the global pandemic when access to clean, running water is not only a necessity but a matter of life and death.

World Water Day — on March 22 — marks the observance of the importance of clean, fresh water. Color Of Change is partnering with Cooperation Jackson to provide relief to Black folks impacted by the month-long water outages. In addition to providing cases of water to families, we’ll supply our people with personal protective equipment and a hot meal to ensure that Black people in Jackson feel safe and supported in light of gross administrative failure and anti-black racism in the state legislature.

Dear friend, support for Black and low-income residents in Jackson hasn’t been coming from the top — it’s come from members like you. A one-time donation says that systemic change in Mississippi, and across the country, is needed right away.

Chip in $10 — or whatever you can afford — to support our work and address the dangerous water crisis in Jackson, MS.

CHIP IN $10...IT'S EASY TO BACK OUT, DON'T

Thousands of families across Jackson, MS went without access to running water for over a month and even more had to boil their water to meet their basic needs throughout the day. We know that our members in Jackson are innovators who can make a way — but still, we need your help to spread the word and get clean water to folks who need it most.

We know that funds like these are only a drop in the bucket toward what is actually needed to repair the decades-old infrastructure problems in Jackson and rebuild trust for clean water. We’re choosing resilience and self-sufficiency as we build power to pressure decision-makers to do the right thing -- repair the crippling infrastructure in Jackson.
