U.S (ULTRAVIOLET) : What part of “resign” does Andrew CUOMO not get ?

A sixth woman has come forward with allegations of sexual harassment by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
1

This latest assault has been reported to the police, and an investigation has been launched by the New York State attorney general--but Cuomo still refuses to admit to any wrongdoing beyond “making people uncomfortable" and intends to stay on as governor.2

Andrew Cuomo is not exempt from consequences for harassment and assault, and we need to lift up the growing chorus of voices calling on him to resign. UltraViolet is flying a plane banner over Albany telling Cuomo to step down, and we’re going to keep the pressure on until he leaves office.

Will you donate $5 to UltraViolet and help hold Governor Andrew Cuomo accountable?

The accusations against Cuomo span decades and include kissing and fondling women against their will, making sexual jokes to subordinates, and asking inappropriate questions.3

Cuomo has said his behavior is just him being an “old-school politician.”4

We agree--this is exactly the “old-school” behavior that the Me Too movement has been fighting for years, and it’s exactly the behavior we refuse to excuse in 2021.

Cuomo has a long reputation for being a bully, which is part of why these women didn’t come forward before--they feared for their jobs. It’s going to take a strong grassroots uprising to push him out of office.

Already, a bipartisan group of 121 members of the New York legislature have called for Cuomo’s resignation.5UltraViolet and a coalition of advocacy groups are joining together to help hold Cuomo accountable.

Will you chip in $5 to UltraViolet today?

Thanks for speaking out.
