U.S (NATIVE ORGANIZERS ALLIANCE ACTION FUND): Rectifying environmental racism with Rep. GRIJALVA’s ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE FOR ALL ACT.

Friend,

Tribal land and Indigenous communities and communities of color suffer vastly disproportionate impacts from climate change, pollution, and fossil fuel development.

To rectify this systemic racism, Rep. Raúl Grijalva joined other Representatives and Senators in introducing the A. Donald McEachin Environmental Justice For All Act this year.

This important legislation would require federal agencies to ensure robust engagement with Tribal nations when proposing projects and activities that could impact Native communities.

Ensuring that tribal nations and Native communities are part of the decision-making processes about our lands and waters is the only way to defend our legal right to sovereignty and self-determination.

The bill would strengthen laws that safeguard our Native communities and sacred places, and set up new fees on corporate polluters to support a just transition to renewable energy.

Please sign now to tell Congress: Pass the Environmental Justice for All Act to recognize Indigenous sovereignty and address generations of environmental racism now.

Hawwih (thank you) for supporting sovereignty and Native communities.
