A key White House aide disclosed and confirmed : - Trump was told that people at his rally had AR-15s, knives, bear spray, and other weapons and had plans to enter the Capitol.
- Trump demanded the metal detectors at the rally be taken down so the armed people could get in, saying "They aren't here to hurt me."
- Knowing all this, Trump still directed the mob to march on the Capitol.
- Trump was urged to respond to the insurrection and threats to his Vice President, but replied that Mike Pence "deserved it."
- Trump ordered the Secret Service to take him to the Capitol, and when they told him no, he lunged for the steering wheel and physically assaulted an agent.
- Trump's staff have recently committed witness tampering, attempting to scare witnesses appearing in front of the January 6th Committee
