Middle East (SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL) : Please, LISTEN TO THESE CHILDREN!

Hi,

More than 300 children have already been killed in the escalating violence.
That is the equivalent of over ten classrooms full of children whose lives have been lost.

At the same time, the latest escalation has already displaced nearly one million people across the region, including more than 822,600 people in Lebanon alone.

Instead of gathering safely for iftar with their families, many children are sleeping in crowded shelters, in cars or out in the streets after being forced to flee their homes.

Children across the region need our support. Please donate now to help protect children who have lost their homes, their safety and their sense of normal life.

Children themselves are telling us what this crisis feels like.

Amal*, 11 years old in Lebanon, told us:

We are still in the month of Ramadan, and we have seen people sitting in the streets who cannot break their fast safely or have suhoor safely because they were displaced by the war. We are also approaching the days of Eid, and children should feel excited, not afraid.

Sahar*, 17, shared:

After the war returned to Lebanon, there is a feeling of sadness and helplessness because we cannot do anything. We are also being deprived of education and living in fear that something might happen to our families.

And Tamer*, just 8 years old, said:

When the war returned, we became very scared. We stopped going to school, and we are afraid we might end up without food.

Our teams in Lebanon are supporting families displaced by airstrikes and forced displacement orders with hygiene kits, baby kits, mattresses and blankets. We’re installing showers and hot water systems in displacement shelters and running recreational and learning activities to keep children safe, learning and protected. In Syria, we're providing families arriving at the border from Lebanon with food parcels, water packs and blankets. Across the wider region, our teams are preparing to expand support wherever the crisis deepens.

Your gift today could help provide urgent support, including:

$58
could provide a ready to eat meal kit for two children displaced by conflict in Lebanon.
$112 could provide mattresses for seven children in a displacement centre during war.
$290 could provide one family with cash assistance for a month in Gaza.

To respond quickly, Save the Children has already mobilised emergency funding to scale up responses and contingency planning across the region, including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

But the needs are enormous, and children cannot wait. Your compassion now can help reach children with lifesaving support when they need it most.

Donate now to help protect children and families.

Children must be protected. Their homes, schools and communities should never be targets.

Before Ramadan ends on 19 March, please help us reach children across the Middle East and wider region with the support they urgently need.

Children cannot wait. Please give now.

Thank you for standing with children.

With gratitude,
