LE MUR DES LAMENTATIONS.

à Umar Timol.

Blêmi par la morsure du soleil

Il reste impassible, le mur

Dans son châle en lambeaux de larmes

Une avancée comme un bras de mer

Sur l’estuaire des regards brouillés

Et des voix tues

Il ceint désormais un domaine

De bruyères et de ruines, le mur

Ayant désappris la rumeur du bon voisinage

Qui, à l’aube, déferlait sur sa ligne

En dentelles d’écume

Oh ! que bruyères et ruines

Comme une coiffe sur des parfums égarés

Désormais un banc calcaire dans l’éclat du jour

Ils sont quelques oisifs à y faire halte

Ivrognes, paumés, matelots retraités, vieillards

Au regard de croquis d’enfant et l’accent

A pelleter le sable

Rien qu’une halte pour ceux-là

Même pas servis par l’obole d’un sourire

Qui se souvient encore

Des jeux, des rires, du temps

Å câliner comme un accordéon

Des cases dans une immense accolade

De fratrie tue

Des regards distraits qui se détournent

Du domaine en apprêt d’herbes folles

Plus haut que le ciel proche

Un migrateur quête une épave

Le mur pleure ses passants.

They’re hard-working parents, family members, and public servants. DOGE officials and staff appear to have exposed the sensitive personal data of nearly every American in violation of the law.
