On January 7, 2021 Facebook suspended Donald Trump’s account for using it to “incite violent insurrection against a democratically elected government.”
Now the corporation’s executives are considering the reinstatement of Trump’s account ! What ?! Trump continues to peddle dangerous disinformation and has expressed no accountability or remorse for his behavior.
Trump uses social media platforms to spread disinformation, foment hate, and incite violence. His rhetoric is damaging our democracy and threatening the safety of those he attacks on social media.

Truth Social, the social media platform that was created for Trump after he was suspended from Facebook and Twitter, is his current outlet for misogyny, racism, and violent rhetoric based on provably fake news.
Trump has demonstrated that he will NOT stop. In fact, on his own social media platform, his bombast and reckless attacks continue at a fever pitch.
If reinstated to Facebook, we will experience even more widespread election denial and threats of violence toward anyone refusing to accept Trump’s Orwellian narrative.
