Dear friend,

The pandemic made it clear there was a massive divide in our nation when it comes to the internet. Millions living in rural areas have little to no high-speed internet access. Countless other Americans just can’t afford it. And for those who can, many are paying way too much for bad service.

(Here’s just one example. We all saw how difficult it was for the homebound elderly to make vaccine appointments without internet access.)

A bill just introduced in Congress, the Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act, would invest in broadband internet infrastructure, make sure there is affordable service, and help hold companies accountable to consumers. Consumer Reports is asking us to sign.

Please sign and send the petition to your congress member and ask them to support the Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act.

Constituents should have access to affordable, reliable internet service. High-speed internet is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity.

I know your time is valuable, so thanks for reading !

& before you go ... It costs a lot to send out civic engagement actions to 300,000 people, and your support keeps us afloat ! Can you help us cover our costs with a donation of $5, $25, or even $50 to help us with this important work? (And yes, WE ALSO TAKE PAYPAL.)

Sincerely,

P.S. Can 20 of you please donate $25 each to help us cover our bills this month? At your request, we do take Paypal.

P.P.S. Remember ... If you are struggling, if you’re hungry, click here or here or here to find a food pantry near you. (Don’t be embarrassed -- I’ve used food banks when I was really broke and the people were always very nice.)

211.org is also a good resource to get all different kinds of assistance.

I can help CUFF too!
