Right now in Arlington, Texas, families are living with the consequences of fracking in their neighborhoods. TotalEnergies is expanding toxic fracking sites next to homes and daycare centers – exposing residents to polluted air and serious health risks. These wells are overwhelmingly located in communities of color. This is environmental racism playing out in Texas. And here’s where Costco comes in: Citibank - Costco’s current credit card partner - is one of the world’s largest funders of fossil fuels and is helping finance companies like TotalEnergies. Call Costco today and tell them: Stop partnering with Citibank, the company enabling TotalEnergies’ environmental racism. Costco has a choice. Its next credit card selection process could begin as soon as 2027 – and we know that there are better options available right now that don’t finance fossil fuel expansion. But Costco won’t act unless it hears from its members, shareholders, and the public. That means you.
