Stealing one social security number and transferring it to another person is a felony. You can spend years in prison if you get caught.
Yet, one of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) bros stole 500 million social security numbers of living and dead Americans and no one has been held accountable. According to a whistleblower, a former DOGE employee bragged about holding our sensitive data on their personal thumbdrive and claiming to have “God-level” access to Social Security Administration (SSA) systems.
We need answers and we demand accountability. Sign our petition now to hold Musk and his DOGE bros accountable.
Americans have trusted that the SSA would keep our most sensitive personal data safe and secure. This has been of utmost importance to the SSA and for generations the privacy and security of our data has been protected by every president, until Trump.
How else has our social security data been compromised? A whistleblower revealed that a former senior DOGE official copied the names, birthdays, and Social Security numbers of over 300 million Americans to an unsecured cloud server –– potentially putting our private information at risk of being hacked and used by identity thieves.
Congress must exercise its oversight authority to investigate what happened and ensure accountability. Tell Congress to investigate DOGE.
And it doesn’t stop there. Government lawyers representing the SSA disclosed that in March 2025, a DOGE staffer signed an agreement to share Americans’ private data with a political advocacy group seeking to “overturn election results in certain states.” Government employees using government data for political purposes is strictly unlawful.
These unconscionable actions are likely just the tip of the iceberg and we need thorough investigations into whether Musk and his DOGE bros broke the law.
Add your voice today to tell Congress #InvestigateDOGE.
