Dear friend, 13-year-old Solave’s* courage is incredible. Here’s her story… Solave* was severely injured by a bomb in Gaza and her leg was amputated. Then the hospital came under siege, and her family were forced to leave her for 15 days. Without proper care, Solave’s* wounds became dangerously infected. Thankfully, she was transferred to Save the Children’s field hospital. With our expert care, things improved. Our specialist nurse, Becky, helped manage Solave’s* pain and distress when her wounds were being cleaned, even showing her photos of cats as a distraction.
