Hate speech and deepfake sexual abuse material on social media? Why are people still on X (formerly Twitter)? We are joining our friends at Tesla Takedown and calling on elected officials, celebrities, everyday people, and activists like you to Dump Your Toxic X.
xAI — Elon Musk's private company that owns both X and his integrated chatbot Grok — is facilitating the production and distribution of deepfake sexual abuse material, including child sexual abuse material. You’ve already joined us in calling on Apple and Google to remove Grok from App Stores — now it’s time to pressure elected officials to get off X.
Tell Elected Leaders: Dump Your Toxic X.

As we grapple with the depravity uncovered in each new release from the Epstein files, Elon Musk is making a profit by enabling the creation of sexualized deepfakes, which experts call a form of sexual harassment and assault. While the creation and distribution of deepfakes is not the same as trafficking of human bodies, it has serious, life-altering consequences, especially for women and girls.
Deepfakes like those being created with xAI’s chatbot and distributed on X have been used to extort, bully and harass real victims. Deepfake-based harassment has caused thousands of real people deep trauma and even pushed some to suicide.
Musk himself continues to constantly post white supremacist material on X, including spreading posts about the great white replacement theory. Experts state that Musk’s obsession with these ideas are deeply tied to violence and discrimination. X is an unsafe online space and it’s time to say goodbye.
Join us and tell your elected officials to stop posting on X.
Every time someone logs into X, they're supporting Elon's platform. Add your voice today by telling your elected leaders: It's time to make a clean break and say we won't tolerate this behavior.
Honored to be in this fight with you.
In Solidarity,
- Nancy Treviño, Stop the Money Pipeline.
