Hi, In just a few weeks, heads of state will gather in Nice, France, for the third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC) — and thanks to an extraordinary artistic installation, we have the chance to send them a message they can’t ignore. We’re working on an exciting action as part of the Inside Out Project pioneered by renowned French artist JR to create a powerful public installation on the façade of the Palais des Expositions, part of the official venue of UNOC. Where you come in : We’re looking for 100 portraits of ocean defenders — fishers, scientists, artists, youth, Indigenous leaders, and supporters like you — to take over the entire front of the building from June 6–13. The installation will welcome delegates on Ocean Day (June 8), so the world will be paying attention. If you’d like the chance to be part of this moment, all you need to do is send us your portrait by Monday, May 26.  Here’s how :  Take a shoulders-up portrait against a plain white background.  Get expressive ! Feel free to smile and have fun — it's not a passport photo !  No sunglasses, brands, or logos.  Only one (see what we did there ?) person per photo.  Make sure the picture is clear and at least 1MB.  Once you’ve taken your photo, send it to us with a signed release form.
