The attack on Black lives is made possible by the assault on Black people's freedom to vote.
Help us turn out half a million Black voters this election with our unprecedented Black voter contact technology.
The dirty tricks used by the Right Wing are working. In the span of 12 hours this month, courts upheld Iowa’s law to deny formerly incarcerated citizens the right to vote; Ohio started a voter purge; Kansas, Alabama, and Georgia passed racist proof-of-citizenship laws. And this week, Donald Trump will be coronated as nominee and leader of the GOP at the Republican National Convention.
If Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States, his path to the White House will be achieved through the well-worn strategy employed by the Republican Party to win elections: dogwhistle to white voters and keep Black voters and their allies away from the polls. Donald Trump has blamed Black Lives Matter for “dividing America” and has even refused to attend the NAACP convention — we don’t need to wait until November to know how dangerous this country will be for Black people if he is elected. Our plan involves cutting edge tools that have never been made. It is expensive, but if we don't invest in Black voters, who will ?
Will you contribute $3 to help us pay for the technology we need to contact and mobilize 500,000 Black voters in the next 110 days leading up to the election? Click here to donate.
At this critical hour, we must fight even harder. With the murder of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and the deafening silence from Presidential candidates and elected officials, the assault on Black lives cannot be separated from the assault on Black people’s freedom to vote.
For too long Democrats have focused on turning out white swing voters. But we know that according to new electoral data, Black people and our progressive allies make up the new American majority and we must fundamentally change the way we engage them if we are going keep Trump out of the White House. In order to do this, we must reach out to an unprecedented amount of Black voters over the next 110 days. Patricia, we need your help.
Chip in $3 to help us scale our voter engagement program to quadruple the number of Black voters we are able to reach by November.
The dirty tricks of the Right Wing are responses to something we know to be true—Black voters decide elections. In Chicago, Black voters of all ages mobilized to the polls removing District Attorney Anita Alvarez who covered up the murder of Laquan McDonald. Miles away, Prosecutor Tim McGinty lost his seat, a major victory towards justice for Tamir Rice and ending the deadly collaboration with police who refuse to adhere to reforms. These victories would not be possible without the efforts of grassroots organizers who reached out to hundreds of thousands of Black voters and encouraged them to show up on Election Day.
Our plan is ambitious but we know that this moment requires us to take our voter engagement work to the next level. And we can't do it without you. Click here to contribute.
