Four women face up to six months in jail for leaving water jugs for migrants crossing the Sonoran desert.
In an attempt to help migrants survive the deadly Sonoran desert crossing, four women left jugs of water and food throughout the desert for migrants to find. They were arrested on charges of "trespassing" and now face up to six months in jail.
Helping migrants should not be criminalized. Migrants are human beings worthy of respect and assistance.
