U.S : "I just showed up to the Manhattan DA's office and I'm ready to take on more." (Malachi ROBINSON, Color Of Change).

Dear friend, two days ago I led a rally and hand-delivered more than 42,000 petition signatures with dozens of Color Of Change members to Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance’s office demanding that he immediately reopen all of Linda Fairstein’s cases.

More than 42,000 Color Of Change and The Gathering for Justice members recognized the harm that Linda Fairstein committed when she falsely prosecuted the five innocent Black and brown boys known as the ‘Exonerated Five’ and used their voices to hold the current DA accountable to her past harms. Cy Vance thinks that with time we will soon forget about the When They See Us series, Linda Fairstein’s past racist actions, and the 'Exonerated Five'. But this cannot be further from the truth. We will continue calling on Cy Vance and ALL prosecutors around the country to uphold their duty to justice and decrease the reach of mass incarceration on Black peoples’ lives. 

Dear friend, I can’t travel around the country holding prosecutors accountable without your support. Can you contribute $6 to our movement to hold prosecutors accountable to Black people?

There is a Linda Fairstein and Cy Vance in most cities -- a racist powerful person and an elected official who refuses to hold them accountable. I refuse to let this case and others like it go down without Color Of Change putting up a fight for justice. Even though Cy Vance refused to greet me in his office and accept the petition signatures himself, our collective voices were heard loud and clear : we are watching and will remember this when we go to the polls.

I will fight, rally, and continue to hold prosecutors accountable for as long as Black people are unjustly held in cages and languishing in our criminal legal system. With your support, I can continue going face to face with prosecutors around the country demanding they fight against injustice.
