We have 12 days to raise $25,000 to train
hundreds of Black women
!
We need your support to reach our
goal before it's too late.
Dear friend,
Black women have long led the fight for justice in our communities--from the lack of quality jobs available to Black folks, to the increasing Black maternal mortality rate and inequities that still exist in our healthcare system, to the the school-to-prison pipeline. That’s why we’re investing in Black women’s leadership in a major way with our Black Women’s Brunch series--we’re visiting cities across the country to flesh out the local issues that matter most to our communities, train Black women on digital organizing tactics, and build an offline community to hold town halls, forums, and direct actions.
When you make a pledge, you’ll directly contribute to training Black women and we know that when you educate a Black woman, you educate a community.
- We spend $7500 on each Black Women’s Brunch including trainer’s wages and travel--plus food, and childcare for our attendees.
- Within one Black Women’s Brunch, 3 trainers will teach 125 Black female leaders key strategies for using online petitions, social media, and press to win local campaigns around education, healthcare, and employment.
- That means after 3 Black Women’s Brunches, 375 Black women will head into the world, armed with the digital organizing skills to transform their communities.
Dear friend, we really need you to invest in a new generation of Black female leadership before our first event in 12 days. Please remember that Color Of Change does not take money from corporations so that we can remain true to the communities we serve. Hundreds of passionate Black women leaders are now counting on us to train them with digital skills to protect those very communities.
Until justice is real,
Jade, Arisha, Rashad, Brandi, Johnny, Chad, Corina, Sareya, and the rest of the Color Of Change team.
