U.S : Support Paid Family Leave Now !

Posted By : Progressive Impact (campaign leader) This week, a bill was introduced to the House to create the United States' first paid family leave program. The bill would establish a plan to compensate new parents, or primary caretakers of severely ill individuals, for up to 12 weeks to help them care for their family.  The United States is the only major nation that doesn't offer paid family leave.As a result, many low-income families are discouraged from having children, and when they choose to have children, are cruelly forced back to work almost immediately after birth.  Paid family leave is crucial to women's health after delivery and to babies' early development. By depriving our compatriots of paid family leave, we are directly contributing to poor health outcomes and exacerbating health inequalities.  Add your name to demand Congress establish a paid family leave program to support new mothers and their children.  SIGN THE PETITION
