U.S : Tamir RICE's case.

Dear friend,

Just when we thought things couldn't get worse in the police killing case of Tamir Rice, they did. Prosecutor Tim McGinty — who is supposed to be advocating for Tamir — just publicly attacked Tamir's family for demanding justice.1
For weeks, you and thousands of other ColorOfChange members have joined Samaria Rice — Tamir's mother — in asking McGinty to step off the case and request a special prosecutor.2 When a reporter asked McGinty last Thursday whether he would honor the family's request, he said, "they are interesting people...let me just leave it at that... and they have their own economic motives."3 Enough is enough. It's time to turn up the pressure on McGinty to step aside.
In the coming weeks we will deliver the voices of more than 80,000 ColorOfChange members demanding justice for Tamir to McGinty's door. Will you help us get to 100,000 signatures by sharing the campaign today?

McGinty's comments are just the latest in a long line of actions that raise questions about his willingness to do his job and prosecute the police who recklessly killed a 12-year-old boy at his neighborhood community center.November 22nd will mark one year since police killed Tamir and McGinty is still "investigating."4 Tamir's family has been forced to suffer through the unimaginable, yet the police who killed this young child still have their jobs. Who is McGinty really working for? It's time to hold his feet to the fire.
If enough people take action, we can build a groundswell of resistance that McGinty and other Ohio officials can't ignore. Click here to take action.
