U.S (VOCAL NEW YORK) : 104,000 CHILDREN HOMELESS IN NYC; Take Action !

 

 

 

We are heartbroken.  Day before yesterday, we learned there are 104,000 children going to school with no permanent housing- and 5,500 are sleeping on the streets. We are often told kids are failing school, but in reality our elected leaders are prioritizing the profits of the landlords over the future of our kids. But we are not going to stand idly by ! We are marching to demand the state and city pass tenant protections, fund rental assistance, and get a permanent home for every student in New York !   Will you join on us on November 3rd, and tell the City and State : Our Kids aren't failing school, our leaders are failing our kids !  What : The No More Homeless Kids March !  Where : Rally at D’Emric Playground, Corner of 35th street and 3rd Avenue  When : Thursday, November 3rd, at 11:30am Register Here!     Public school students are the future of our city, and we must show them that when they are failed by our government, our communities will step up to support them.   In Solidarity,         Jawanza Williams .
