U.S : Have you used a bail bondsmen in NY--if so, Gov. CUOMO wants to hear from you !

Dear Friends,

For months we have demanded that Governor Cuomo investigate the bail bond industry and last month he finally announced that he would be leading an investigation !

Now, Gov. Cuomo is hosting listening sessions to hear from New Yorker's about their experience with the bail bond industry. His first listening session is Monday, June 11th in New York City.

Color Of Change will be at this session, and we want to make sure that your stories are heard by the Governor. If you've ever used a bail bondsmen in the state of New York we want to hear from you.

If you share your story with us, we will include it in the information we share with Cuomo's office when we testify at the listening session, if you prefer we can keep your story anonymous. The more we can share negative experiences that New Yorker's have had with the bail bond industry the more likely we can restrict how the industry operates--and eventually abolish the industry and the use of money bail entirely.

If you, or your family members or friends, have used a bail bondsmen in New York please respond to this message and a Color Of Change staff member will follow up with you.

If you would like to share your experience in person we invite you to join for one of Gov. Cuomo's listening sessions :
