Three more Starbucks locations have formally voted to unionize, bringing the total of company-owned stores to six. Over a hundred others have confirmed plans to do the same.
This comes as Starbucks continues to wage a massive anti-union war against workers. Starbucks workers looking to unionize are calling for the company to sign the Fair Election Principles, which protects their right to organize and hold fair elections. Starbucks organizing leaders are overcoming unnecessary and cruel obstacles to bring fair elections to their stores. It’s time for Starbucks to fulfill its commitment to being a “people company” and formally end all practices that obstruct the organizing process.
