Friend,     One of the first steps to solving a problem is admitting there is one, and when it comes to the current state of our Supreme Court, we’ve got a big problem.   From their decisions on campaign finance in Citizens United, striking down key provisions of the Voting Rights Act in Shelby County v. Holder, and of course, the most recent decisions on reproductive rights, gun legislation, and the federal government’s ability to curb climate change—the Supreme Court has continued to undermine the will of the American people.   If allowed to continue down this path, the Supreme Court runs the risk of irreversibly damaging our democracy. People who aim to oppress us have stacked the Supreme Court in their favor, but Congress has the power to fix that by expanding the number of justices.       Sign on and tell Congress to expand the Supreme Court!       Even with Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s historic confirmation, the highly partisan composition of the Supreme Court will hinder our nation’s ability to respond to the climate crisis, ensure access to all forms of healthcare, protect our communities, and defend our civil rights.   We need to expand the Court and add justices who truly believe in the freedoms our constitution promises.
