VOCAL-KY organizer, Jennifer Twyman, was featured in the Courier Journal for her work with harm reduction and experience as a former user. The piece weaves together her own use of harm reduction and her time working with the Louisville Metro Health Department, emphasizing the importance of dignity and autonomy that is core to VOCAL-KY's mission. From the piece : “Jennifer’s 20 years of experience with substance use won’t define her. With VOCAL-KY, she’s building a movement to change policies surrounding substance use in her hometown and throughout Kentucky — a movement led by the perspectives of people who use drugs.”
