Not Now, Not Ever.   ADD YOUR NAME         In a shocking and disappointing move on October 5, the Biden administration took steps to move forward with constructing a wall along the United States border with Mexico. Let's be clear : Building a border wall is a cruel and inhumane stunt that will not deter immigration and will only lead to more suffering. To make matters worse, according to a notice the administration waived 26 environmental laws in its efforts to move forward with border wall construction. This decision directly contradicts Pres. Biden's campaign promises. We need to make sure he feels overwhelming opposition to this heartless decision. Sign the petition urging Pres. "A wall does nothing to deter people who are fleeing poverty and violence from coming to the United States," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement. Environmental groups are also pushing back : “It’s disheartening to see President Biden stoop to this level, casting aside our nation’s bedrock environmental laws to build ineffective wildlife-killing border walls,” said Laiken Jordahl, Southwest conservation advocate at the Center for Biological Diversity.
