Fox News continues to fuel election conspiracies. Demand advertisers pull their support. After refusing to call Biden “President-elect,” Fox News is now launching disinformation attacks on President-elect Biden’s new Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, with the baseless allegation that he has undermined people’s faith in elections.¹ Fox News is even funneling misinformation from fringe far-right outlets falsely alleging that a government computer system called “Hammer” and a software program known as “Scorecard” were used to alter the vote totals in key states by subtracting votes from Trump and adding numbers to President-elect Joe Biden.² Fox News is misleading viewers about election results and stoking political violence that will only harm Black people and our communities.

To spread misinformation and question the validity of this election when our people showed up in record numbers to oust Donald Trump is ballot suppression. Dear friend, the lies must stop about this election so we can move forward and repair the harm of the Trump administration. Fox News has long since lost its credibility as a news source. As long as advertisers continue to pay Fox News to air their ads, advertisers will continue to be complicit in the spread of misinformation and Fox’s unapologetic assault on democracy and our people.
