U.S : Help DEFEND ABORTION RIGHTS !!

Less than one month from today, the Supreme Court will take up the case that could gut Roe v. Wade.

If that happens, we can kiss legal abortion goodbye.

Already, 20 states have laws on the books that would ban abortion in the event Roe v. Wade is overruled, and anti-choice politicians are gearing up to pass even more state-level bans this year.1

But that's not all. The U.S. Senate held a hearing this week on legislation to ban abortion after 20 weeks nationwide.2 That means even if you live in a blue state like California or New York, your abortion rights would no longer be protected.

This is Mike Pence's dream come true, and to fight back, we need to fight not just in Washington, D.C., but also in state capitals all across the country--and that will require a huge expansion of our movement's grassroots power.

Barring some shocking change of heart by Brett Kavanaugh or one of the other anti-choice justices, Roe v. Wade will be significantly gutted when the Supreme Court takes up abortion rights later this year. That's why anti-choice state politicians are racing to pass as many abortion bans as they possibly can.

Abortion access has already been virtually eliminated in many parts of the country. In states where there are only 1-2 abortion clinics, millions of women are forced to travel huge distances, endure waiting periods of 24-48 hours or more, and give up several days wages. And for many, that's simply impossible.

On top of that, last year alone, 25 new abortion bans were signed into law, and there's another wave coming at us this year.3

Tennessee just announced a bill to ban abortion as early as six weeks, before most people even know they are pregnant.4 Anti-choice Republicans are pushing a similar bill in New Hampshire, a state that traditionally has supported abortion rights.5

In Kansas, where courts have ruled that the state constitution protects abortion rights, the state legislature came just a few votes short of a constitutional amendment to allow abortion to be banned.6

Abortion rights are in greater risk than at any time since Roe. We can no longer count on the courts to defend our right to abortion. We must work in state capitols to stop abortion bans while also keeping the pressure on in Washington, D.C. We're counting on you to make sure we have the funding to see this fight through to the end. Will you donate $5 ?

Thank you for joining in.
