Take Action : "We demand just and equitable vaccine distribution across the United States and the world. Everyone deserves to live, and to live with human dignity." |
Friend, The USA vaccinated 4.6 million people on Saturday. That’s progress―but the progress is not being shared equally. In the United States and around the world, the pandemic has exposed pre-existing racial disparities―and the vaccination process is just making things worse. COVID-19 has made clear just how connected we all are―and leaving anyone behind is a risk to all of us. But racism and tribalism is still threatening public health, in America and around the world. We’re proud to stand with Rep. Rashida Tlaib against this medical apartheid! Sign now to demand equitable vaccine access! For example : Israel has received global accolades for its speedy vaccination process. But they have denied vaccine access to the Palestinians on the West Bank. As Rep. Tlaib says, “This is medical apartheid, and it’s unacceptable.” In the US, Black Americans have been twice as likely to die from COVID-19, but white Americans are now getting vaccinated at twice the rate of Black Americans. That ain’t right. SIGN NOW: Demand equitable vaccine access now!
Thanks, Mike Phelan Progress America |
