A smile, a hug, a sunny afternoon. These are the things that we all live for.

 

It's these little things that can brighten each day or provide a little comfort when it's most needed. They offer the same relief and hope to Syrian mothers, as they protect and raise their children, far from home. 

 

Now, a decade after conflict broke out in Syria, more than 12 million people have been displaced and an entire generation of children have grown up knowing nothing but crisis. More than 70 percent of these families are living in poverty, and have no idea if they'll ever see home again. Mothers and fathers struggle to ensure their children have a childhood.
