We'll erect a prison graveyard behind the capitol to mourn and demand that the legislature pass Elder Parole and Fair & Timely Parole to reunite families and bring our elders home ! In the last days of the legislative session, VOCAL-NY leaders are making sure lawmakers know what needs to get done. Leaders from the Civil Rights Union and Users Union we’re out in Carl Heastie’s District in the Bronx, making sure he and other state leadership know what New Yorkers want passed :  The Challenge Wrongful Convictions Elder Parole & Fair and Timely Parole End Qualified Immunity The Safer Consumption Services Act

Futures NYC

This month, VOCAL-NY joined Make the Road NY and Hester Street to launch the Futures NYC campaign, an initiative to promote bold policy solutions through the lens of artists from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Through Futures NYC, artists from all across New York City will demonstrate that art can be the catalyst for a just, equitable city.
