U.S : COPS literally gear up for war.

 

 

 

Friend,       Since Ferguson, there has been a consistent pattern : Cops kill an unarmed Black person, and then they gear up for war―literally. The military has been selling surplus military equipment to the police for the last 20 years, and they’ve responded by treating us like we’re domestic terrorists.       [[SIGN HERE]] Join us now in declaring: no peaceful police force needs military grade weaponry to turn on peaceful civilians.       Research has shown that military-style armor and weaponry can lead to more violence from the police, fundamentally shifting their attitude towards brutality almost immediately. We have seen the police force amp up their violence on unarmed Black people-- the last thing that attitude needs is encouragement.       SIGN NOW: We are calling upon President Biden and Conress to stop funding our murder through the 1033 program.         The Pentagon has no place in the policing of everyday communities.
