U.S : They won’t sink Judge JACKSON's nomination.

 

 

 

Friend,       We spent days watching some Senators do everything in their power to malign Judge Jackson – from questioning her faith to asking wildly irrelevant opinions about children's books.   She took it in stride, but they didn’t care. A handful of Senators have already announced they’re voting AGAINST Judge Jackson’s confirmation.   That’s why we’re ramping up our efforts to make sure this confirmation goes through, because Judge Jackson is one of the most highly qualified nominees we’ve ever seen. We can’t let a handful of naysayers win.   Let’s ALL do our part. Call your Senators at (202) 224-3121 and tell them they need to confirm Justice Jackson to the highest Court in the land.   Add your own twist, but here’s a sample of what you can say : Hello, I am [NAME], calling from [CITY/TOWN] regarding [SENATOR NAME]’s position on the confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court. I would like to speak with the Senator to discuss the reasons I believe they should support her confirmation. I believe Judge Jackson should be confirmed as the next U.S. Supreme Court Justice. As a Black woman having her represented in the country’s highest court matters, she will be able to bring a unique perspective to our nation’s most critical cases that have historically been missing this input. Judge Jackson represents the interests of the people. Can you assure me you will vote to confirm her nomination ?   After you make your call, please use this form to let us know how it went !   It’s obvious : A few of our senators are scared of the thought of Justice Jackson. They can’t attack her on any legitimate grounds – her stellar career, her incredible accomplishments – so they invent false concerns to “justify” a rejection. But the real reason is clear as day : They don’t want a Black woman on the court.   Racism bleeds into everything they do. That’s why we’ve gotta do everything in our power to ensure they don’t win, and show Justice Jackson that we have her back.   I’m making a call myself right after sending this email.
