U.S (Color Of Change) : As we close out WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH, support our women-led campaigns !

 

 

 

Dear friend,         The women running Color Of Change are creating history every month ! Black women have historically been the heart of our struggle for liberation and continue to be. Our Black women-led campaigns team works daily to create innovative solutions to the hurdles that Black women, men, and children face.The work we lead not only helps the women directly affected by it but also empowers those women to build power in their own communities. Transforming the realities of the world for Black women and spreading Black joy is at the core of our work. But it couldn’t happen without the powerful women behind our campaigns.         In honor of Women’s History Month, will you support the women-led campaign work of Color Of Change?             THIS WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH, HONOR OUR WORK FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN           Here are some of our recent campaigns and programs created specifically for women and led by the women of our Media, Culture, and Economic Justice department of the Campaigns team :    Healing in Action : Spurred from our #ProtectBlackSurvivors campaign, this 3-part series focuses on trauma healing and empowers women towards action. This event series was created by Ciera and Taurjhai. #MyCrownMyWay : In addition to our work moving the CROWN Act legislation forward, we’re calling on major corporations to eliminate race-based hair discrimination by creating explicit policies to protect Black hair. This campaign is led by FolaSade, Stasia, Taurjhai, and Ciera. Black Women’s Brunch : More than a social event, this is an opportunity to celebrate our community as Black women, reaffirm our power and define who we are becoming. Black Women’s Bruch started in December of 2017 and has been held in more than 25 cities across the country. This most recent event was led by Marie, Taurjhai, and Ciera, in collaboration with our Movement-building team.       We aim to build more creative and impactful programs for women throughout the year. But we need your support to make that happen.
