U.S (HIP HOP CAUCUS) : Tell CONGRESS to raise the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour

Friend,

It’s no secret that the federal minimum wage is too low. The current federal minimum wage is only $7.25 an hour, which is nowhere near enough to afford rent, pay bills, and support a family—which has led to millions of workers being stuck in poverty.

The cost of living keeps rising, yet Congress hasn’t raised the federal minimum wage in 14 years. It’s past time for action. Sign the petition and tell your members of Congress to raise the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour!

SIGN NOW

Low wages and long hours have been the status quo for too long, and a tool for oppressors to keep our communities impoverished.

Fifty-two million workers currently make less than $15 an hour in this country. Two-thirds of workers earning the federal minimum wage are women, and of those women, a disproportionate amount are Black and Latina.

By raising the federal minimum wage to at least $15 an hour Congress can close the wealth gap for Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities and move the country toward the economic justice we deserve.

Our communities have a right to a livable wage. Sign on and tell Congress to raise the minimum wage to at least $15 an hour!

For future generations,
