The latest report shows that we are nearing the threshold for action on climate — and once we pass that threshold, we won’t be able to revert back. For decades, our leaders have put profits over people by allowing fossil fuel interests to line the pockets of our politicians and continuing to expand oil drilling and greenhouse production. On the campaign trail President Biden made promises to fight for the climate — but what we’ve seen in his time in office is the complete opposite. We must hold our elected officials accountable for putting people over profits and take action NOW on climate. We’re ramping up the pressure on President Biden to take action on the climate. We've seen what climate champions on the local level can do — shut down newly proposed fossil fuel infrastructure and pass Green New Deal-type policies. But the only way we can stop this crisis is if we get more leaders like them in office.
