Friend,
over the past few weeks, the Supreme Court has unleashed a series of
decisions that constitute attacks on our communities, our rights, and
our status as equal citizens in this democracy.
In just over the span of a week, the Court sided…
- Against
Biden’s student debt relief plan, denigrating those who hold student
debt while allowing loan forgiveness for big businesses and politicians;
- Against LGTBQ+ protections by allowing business owners to discriminate against customers based on who they love;
- Against
affirmative action in higher education, while preserving legacy
admissions that uphold tacit white supremacy each and every day.
In
more ways than one, this is just the beginning. Without reproach, this
court will continue dragging our society into the past by stripping away
the social and cultural milestones that our movements have fought for
over years of struggle.
Take
a moment to hear from Hip Hop Caucus’ EVP Tanya Clay House about the
state of our campaign for rights in this country, and how we can
mobilize the culture to push back against these unacceptable decisions
as a movement >>
For future generations,
Hip Hop Caucus
