U.S : We must END EMERGENCY SHELTERS that are DANGEROUS for the HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF MIGRANT CHILDREN.

 

 

 

Friend, all children deserve to live in safety and peace. Unfortunately this is not the case for children living in emergency shelters.    Sign the petition: We must end emergency shelters that are dangerous to the health and well-being of children.      SIGN THE PETITION                       The Biden administration rushed to open “emergency” temporary facilities at military bases, work camps and convention centers, under the care of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), to get children out of the care of Border Patrol.    These shelters are understaffed, and the few staffers they do have did not get proper background checks before being hired. This is detrimental to the health and well being of the children being held in custody. Migrant children described living in crowded living conditions, spoiled food, lack of clean clothes and struggles with depression with numerous reports of physical and sexual abuse.    Migrant children escape hunger, violence, and terror from their home countries. Some walk hundreds of miles on long journeys to face more violence and danger on their routes. For them to finally make it to America and be forced into unsafe and inhumane living conditions is appalling.
