Dear friend,
Black women deserve their flowers. That's why this Sunday, September 13th, we're hosting a virtual brunch in honor of Breonna Taylor, and asking all Black women to join us in a celebration of our lives. You can RSVP below :
Give Black Women Their Flowers
A virtual brunch and day of storytelling honoring Breonna Taylor and our sisters
Sunday, September 13, 12pm-2pm PDT
At this event, we'll tell Breonna's story and listen to one another's stories of challenge and triumph. We believe telling our stories is essential to celebrating the lives of those we've lost and reclaiming our stories that are often reduced to a hashtag. We want to remember to uplift our smiles, remember our selfless actions, and acknowledge the ways we show up for our loved ones and communities daily. This will be a joyful celebration of Black life.
In addition to sharing our stories, we'll talk about elections and the ways we can use them as a tool to build a world where we don't lose any more of our sisters, and where those we've lost receive the justice they deserve. Elections are not the only tool we need, but they are an opportunity to elect leaders who will listen and be accountable to Black communities.
We're partnering with LA-based Black businesses and entrepreneurs like A Little Day Brunch, Autumn Breon, and We Love Leimert to help make this event an investment into our own communities.
Until justice is real,
Shannon, Corina, Destanie, Kaya, Kwesi, Bill, Charles, Scotty and the rest of the Color Of Change PAC team.
