Friend,
McDonald’s promised a plan to combat their rotten culture of sexual harassment months ago. Since then ? Nothing. When I decided to speak out about sexual harassment on the job, I was terrified. McDonald’s workers like me have filed more than 50 complaints of sexual harassment since 2016. Many of us who have spoken up have experienced retaliation, including reduced hours, unwarranted discipline, and being fired or forced to leave their jobs.
Our demand is simple : develop a worker-led program to end sexual harassment in fast food restaurants. In solidarity,
Angelica Hernandez McDonald's Worker Los Angeles, CA Fight for $15 and a Union .
P.S. If you're a fast-food worker who's experienced sexual harassment on the job, please dial the #metoo McDonald's hotline at (844) 384-4495 to get help.
